Term Limits for Supreme Court Justices


As Matthew Yglesias has brought up the subject, I thought I'd repeat my call for fixed 18 year terms for Supreme Court Justices. Here's a proposal by legal academics across the ideological spectrum that doesn't require amending the Constitution. And for those of you who enjoy fantasy sports, here's an example of how this model would have worked in practice, going back to 1951.
