The Dumbest Statement Ever Made in a Supreme Court Filing

Gerard N. Magliocca

In today's "Bill of Complaint" from Texas suing Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Wisconsin in the Supreme Court's original jurisdiction to delay the certification of the presidential results in those states:

"The probability of former Vice President Biden winning the popular vote in the four Defendant States--Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin--independently given President Trump's early lead in those States as of 3 a.m. on November 4, 2020, is less than one in a quadrillion, or 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000. For former Vice President Biden to win those four States collectively, the odds of that event happening decrease to less than one in a quadrillion to the fourth power."

You know what has even lower odds than that? The chance that I will take anything Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Special Counsel Lawrence Joseph, and Assistant Attorney Brent Webster say seriously after this. Notably, the Solicitor General of Texas did not sign this document.
