On June 2, 2020, I participated in a roundtable on social media regulation, entitled "Where Algorithms Meet The First Amendment," as part of the Abrams' Institute's annual commercial speech conference. The panelists included Daphne Keller (Stanford) and Nathaniel Persily (Stanford). Alex Abdo (Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia) led the discussion. This was a really good conversation that covered a wide range of topics and models for social media regulation, including antitrust, privacy, and intermediary liability.
