(Day after) Constitution Day

Yesterday, of course, was Constitution Day, truly evidence of American exceptionalism.  Obviously, my feelings about the day may differ from those of many other people.  In any event, Al Jazeera was once again kind enough to publish my thoughts on the day.  The central question is whether Hamilton and Madison would have been pleased by the mindless reverence displayed and the apparent rejection of the belief that we ourselves are capable of "reflection and choice" with regard to how we wish to govern (or even misgovern) ourselves.
